MIG-29 power plant upgrade through integration of the engine RD-33 control system with a digital automated setting and control unit BARK-88.

The works are aimed at improving engines reliability and control accuracy at transit modes by integrating operating and power plant control functions that include the engine, accessory gearbox and turbine starter and removal of analogue BPR-88 and BPK-88 units.

To provide smooth operation of BARK-88 with MIG-29 power plant a developed information and diagnostic complex KPA-88 is used.

KPA-88 substitutes ground control panels PD-88, PKR-88, BK-3K, BP-3K, PNK-88.

One aircraft powwer plant containing two engines can be upgraded by two specialists from JSC “Klimov” within 4 hours.
