Plant evacuated to Ufa due to WWII. Development of various M100 engine versions.
1942
Start of production of Katyusha multiple rocket launchers in besieged Leningrad.
1943
All aircraft engines manufactured by the plant are assigned the VK prefix (Vladimir Klimov) by a government decree.
26.06.1946
Design bureau headed by V.Ya.Klimov is established.
01.05.1947
The first ever air parade featuring jet aircraft (Yak-15 fighter jets equipped with RD-10 engines developed by V.Ya.Klimov) takes place in Moscow, over the Red Square.
1948
VK-1 engine developed for mass-produced MiG-156bis, Mig-17, Il-28 and Tu-14 aircraft.
